My name is Katie. Since I was very little, I've been obsessed with chasing fish and exploring the beautiful country they inhabit. I got my start catching smallmouth bass in western Pennsylvania, occasionally hooking up on a walleye or pike, and getting the freedom to roam my local waters unsupervised. Since then, I've switched over to fly fishing, and while I’ll gladly fish any water that has even the slightest chance of holding a fish, my favorite places are the remote, backcountry areas of public land that rarely see human activity. 

I started Fish Untamed to not only scratch my fishing itch when I’m stuck indoors, but also to provide valuable information and discussion to those who fish the backcountry. I hope you enjoy coming along.
