A woman fly fishes in a lake with mountains in the background.

Hi there, and welcome to Fish Untamed, your home for fly fishing the backcountry. My name is Katie, and I created this site as a way to educate, inspire, entertain, and connect people who are addicted to catching wild fish on the fly. Whether your backcountry is 10 miles into a national forest, or an isolated patch of the back forty, I hope to have something to offer everyone. Here, I’ll go over a few ways to get started with Fish Untamed.
